A major step occurred this week that will help rid our neighborhoods of wireless, radiation-emitting “smart” utility meters. On December 20th, Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), the state’s largest utility, informed the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) that it would like to offer analog (electromechanical) meters for its customers who want these, in addition to radio-off smart meters, as an option to its embattled smart meters.
